Job Overview
The Senior Manager, IM TranSCend Source, will serve as the Business Process Owner for Source within IM Supply Chain Procurement Excellence. The role will own the Innovative Medicine Source process design and associated business requirements, lead decisions within delegated authority, and escalate cross-functional or enterprise-level decisions through established IM TranSCend governance.
The position will lead the design and standardization of direct procurement, translating business requirements into scalable global processes, data, controls, and technology solutions. The role will ensure effective integration with planning, manufacturing, quality, finance, accounts payable, supplier management, and adjacent supply-chain processes.
IM TranSCend is a multi-year global business transformation that will modernize end-to-end supply-chain digital capabilities, standardize core business processes and products, and enable an integrated data strategy through SAP S/4HANA. The Senior Manager will combine strategic procurement experience, operational knowledge, digital acumen, and cross-functional leadership to enable a harmonized global template, successful deployment, sustained adoption, and measurable business value.
Key Responsibilities
• Own the Innovative Medicine Source process design and business requirements, ensuring the global solution delivers operational efficiency, compliance, resilience, and measurable value.
• Make Source design decisions within delegated authority, aligned with the global template, clean-core principles, and enterprise architecture, and escalate cross-functional or enterprise-level matters through program governance.
• Define and maintain the Source capability roadmap in partnership with Innovative Medicine and enterprise procurement leaders, balancing strategic priorities, business value, and deployment dependencies.
• Align stakeholders across Procurement, Planning, Global Services, Accounts Payable, Finance, Quality, Compliance, and Technology, advancing global standardization while safeguarding critical local and regulatory requirements.
• Deliver high-quality business design, including process flows, requirements, and functional specifications, with controls, audit readiness, data integrity, and segregation of duties built in from the start.
• Set data requirements, ownership, and quality standards for Source, and guide data cleansing, migration, validation, and business acceptance.
• Lead business simulation and user-acceptance testing, and partner with change-management teams on training, communication, and readiness to secure successful deployment and sustained adoption.
• Steer deliverables, milestones, dependencies, and risks, resolving issues early or escalating them through program governance, and define the performance measures that confirm sustained business value after deployment.
• Lead global, cross-functional teams through influence and engage stakeholders from executive leaders to technical experts, connecting design choices to supply continuity, efficiency, compliance, and patient impact.
