Company Bio
Medexus Pharmaceuticals Inc. is a leading specialty pharmaceutical company with a focus on the therapeutic areas of rheumatology, auto-immune disease, specialty oncology, allergy, and pediatric diseases. We provide market-leading prescription and over-the-counter brands to patients and healthcare professionals, which we believe greatly enhances quality of life and promotes a healthy lifestyle. We have a strong North American commercial platform, and we currently operate through two unique segments: Medexus Pharma Canada and Medexus Pharma USA. Innovation is a driving force for our company. As a result, we are continuously licensing and/or acquiring new products and solutions aimed at addressing the essential needs of consumers, patients, and healthcare partners.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Director, Marketing HSCT, the Senior Marketing Manager leads HCP engagement, clinical marketing, and integrated customer insights for the HSCT portfolio. Initially focused on GRAFAPEX, this role focuses on building clinical understanding and confidence, addressing barriers to appropriate adoption, and connects education with purposeful customer engagement. It combines strategic judgment with hands-on delivery, translating evidence and customer insights into recommendations, clinically credible promotional content, and peer-to-peer strategy in partnership with the Marketing Manager, field leadership, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Commercial Operations, and external agencies.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Marketing and Education
- Translate clinical evidence and customer barriers into educational content, speaker materials, patient-profile content and objection responses. Maintain clear evidence and claims documentation and draw on subject-matter experts when required
- Develop the clinical promotional narrative, stakeholder messages, reasons to believe and messaging storyboards within the positioning and overall messaging architecture
- Lead the clinical and customer narrative for the outpatient use case, partnering with Market Access on economic and access inputs and Medical Affairs on scientific questions
- Develop clinical and disease-state content for Transplant Engagement Manager (TEM) education with Medical Affairs and field leadership; support training on new field tools, working through Medical, Legal and Regulatory (MLR) review for promotional materials
Peer Engagement and Speaker Programs
- Own P2P strategy and speaker bureau performance: external educational needs, priority audiences and geographies, program formats, speaker requirements, preparation, vendor direction and evaluation
- Lead commercial thought-leader engagement and advisory activity. Align programs with account priorities, connect outreach and follow-up with field leaders, and contribute clinical content and peer engagement to congress plans
- Use audience quality, educational effectiveness and completed next steps to recommend improvements. Partner with the Marketing Coordinator and vendors on delivery logistics
Integrated Insights and Market Research
- Own the integrated market research and customer learning agenda. Consolidate market research, field feedback, voice of customer, program learning and appropriately shared Medical and Market Access insights into a clear view of needs, barriers and opportunities
- Lead assigned market research studies and commercial advisory boards. Define business questions, guide research vendors, evaluate findings and recommend actions
- Integrate awareness, trial and usage (ATU) research led by the Marketing Manager without duplicating study ownership. Develop provisional customer and account profiles with field and Commercial Operations input; distinguish hypotheses from validated evidence
- Lead a monthly insight synthesis and maintain a decision and learning log. Recommend changes to messaging, engagement and investment, then assess what changed. Partner with Business Insights within Commercial Operations on methods, measures and interpretation
Program Leadership and Impact
- Manage assigned budgets, agencies, vendors, briefs and timelines within approved plans. Prioritize work, identify dependencies early and recommend adjustments to scope, timing or resources as needed
- Define program objectives and performance measures with meaningful leading and lagging indicators with Commercial Operations and field partners. Evaluate marketing contribution to account progression and appropriate first and repeat use, alongside other commercial activity
- Support annual marketing planning and future HSCT readiness as prioritized by the Marketing Director
Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, life sciences or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
- 7+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology commercial experience, including direct HCP marketing experience and independent ownership of clinical promotional content and provider engagement programs
- Hematology, oncology, transplant, cell therapy or other specialized institutional markets is a must
- Experience with hospital adoption barriers, segmentation and advisory boards
- An advanced business or life-sciences qualification is an asset
- Demonstrated ability to interpret clinical evidence and translate it into accurate, relevant promotional messaging and education through MLR review
- Experience developing P2P or speaker-program strategy and demonstrated ability to turn market research and customer insights into business recommendations
- Strong agency, budget and stakeholder management skills; ability to deliver personally, prioritize and influence across functions in a small organization
- Experience marketing clinically complex therapies to specialist HCP audiences
